Help us cheer on our neighbors and Harbor Half runners at the West Ghent water station. We’ve been told this is one of the most popular stations on the route! Meet at 7:00 at the intersection of Redgate Ave and Weyanoke (near the Mallory pool) to set up the station and then BRING ON THE RUNNERS! Help hand out water and Gatorade, and, of course, welcome them to the neighborhood. We will have fun music and snacks for water-station volunteers.
Join us for an evening of food, fun and music at our annual neighborhood gathering! Bring a dish to share; beverages will be provided. If your last name begins with:

H-N: bring an appetizer or salad
O-T: bring a dessert
U-Z: bring a meat/main dish

Join fellow civic league members for a post-holiday gathering at one of our favorite meeting spots, Smartmouth. For every pint and pizza sold, Smartmouth will give $1 and the Bakehouse will give 25% of pizza sales back to WGCL for future projects and events to enhance our sense of community in the neighborhood. We will have a small selection of board games to play. Have your own favorite game? BRING IT! Come out for some conversation and fun!

We will present traffic pattern data from the past three years, along the Hampton Boulevard corridor from Admiral Taussig Boulevard to Redgate Avenue. At the conclusion of the meeting, members will vote on the proposed changes. If you want to vote, please click here to pay your dues prior to the meeting and then attend December 3 to learn more.
Meet up and clean up along the Elizabeth River Trail! This will be the second in our clean up series for the year. It’s also an opportunity to purge old paint, dead batteries, small electronics and small appliances (no larger than a microwave oven although larger flat screen tv’s are welcome). The civic league will take these items to the Pine Ridge Road recycling station at the conclusion of the clean up. Then we will head to The Birch for some refreshment!
We'll put a spell on you...
But don't let that stop you from joining the West Ghent Civic League as we celebrate Halloween on the lawn of Graydon Place!
